Barbara May Thorn

Barbara May Thorn, 77, of 4491 Manitook Drive in Little River, SC, passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 at her home. 

Barbara was born in Newark, NJ, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Daisy Edwards Hamel.  She was a homemaker and retired teacher’s assistant and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in North Myrtle Beach.

Surviving are her husband, John D. Thorn, of the home; three sons: Chris Thorn and wife, Tara, of Manchester, NJ, Stephen Thorn, of Jackson, NJ and Eric Thorn and wife, Marla Rae, of Howell, NJ; two daughters: Susan Thorn and husband, Adam Urbanowicz, of Toms River, NJ and Danielle O’Hara and husband, Sean, of Easton, PA; as well as 9 grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be conducted at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at a time yet to b e determined.
