Alan Denson Andrews, 56, of Myrtle Beach, SC entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 26, 2020. His graveside service will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 1pm at Beaufort National Cemetery.
He was born July 31, 1963 in Canada, adopted and loved by the late Donald and Barbara Andrews. He will be deeply missed by his son, Chris Andrews, daughter, Alexis Andrews, adopted daughter Jessica Vitz, and adopted grandchildren Cheyanne and Zues.
Alan is a veteran of the United States Navy and Persian Gulf War. He served on the U.S.S O’Bannon, as a radar specialist. His love for the Navy was ever apparent in his stories, and remembrances of his brothers and sisters in arms.
Alan is and was many things to many people. He was an avid reader. From seeking out the question to “42”, slinging spells with Harry Dresden, or hunting Monsters with Owen Pitt. There was never a dull day to be had. He was a pirate who looked at 40, a man who went to Paris, a son of a sailor who had a son of a son of a sailor. He was the brightest thing in the room, and that is meant literally. You can guarantee that no matter where he was, his shirt would be so loud and bright that you could see him from the moon. There is one thing Alan will never be, and that is forgotten by those who love him.
