Obituary
Alma M. Wood (Mariani), 91, passed away on Friday March 17, 2023, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Alma was born in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania to the late Dominic and Theresa (Saletti) Mariani.
Alma was an avid reader, she loved her family, in her younger years Alma enjoyed camping, and Alma lived in Lakewood for 36 years, many considered Miss Alma the unofficial Mayor of Lakewood.
Alma is survived by her four children, Michael (Frances) Wood, Jeffrey (Lisa) Wood, David Wood, and Kathy Wood, seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Erin, Christopher, Cody, Kyle, Elizabeth, and Emily, as well as one great granddaughter, Thea, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents Alma was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, William Wood and a brother, Roland Mariani.

There will be a Funeral Mass Saturday March 25, 2023, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Surfside at 10am. The service will also be available via live stream on St. Michael's web site.
