Anne Wilkerson

Anne J. Wilkerson, 84, of Myrtle Beach, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Embrace Hospice House of the Grand Strand.

Anne was born November 8, 1935 in Lumberton, NC, to the late Sally Leigh “Beadie” Leggette and Wakefield Wilkerson.

Anne loved living at the beach and enjoyed spending time with her beach friends. She could often be found getting her hands dirty as she worked in her garden. She enjoyed traveling and visiting with friends and family. Most of all, she loved and cherished her time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Anne has gone to join her brothers, Jimmy and Isham Wilkerson in heaven.

Anne is survived by; one son John P. Floyd Jr. and wife Pat; one daughter Leigh Griffin (Jamie); four grandchildren, Sheena Bailey (Sam), Aaron (Pete) Griffin, Amber (Jacq) Floyd, Cody Griffin; two great grandchildren, Brody and Cambree Bailey along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers that a memorial contribution be made to one of the following hospice agencies; Embrace Hospice of the Grand Strand by way of Open Arms Foundation, Inc., 175 Village Center Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579 or Crescent Hospice by way of the Community Hospices of America Foundation, 1370 Browning Rd., Suite 120, Columbia, SC 29210.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Sunday, June 28, 2020 in the activity room at Apache Pier, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.
