Antoinette (Toni) Shaler, 58, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Toni was born on April 27, 1967, in Trenton, New Jersey, to Richard and Linda (Wilmer) Pelikan.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Rickette; her daughters, Sydney and Jessica Shaler, who were the light of her life; her mother, Linda Amantia, and stepfather Jack; and her sisters, Diane Cortelyou (Jack), Pamela Pelikan, and Candace Geller (Marc). She was predeceased by her father, Richard Pelikan.

Toni was a force of quiet strength, known for her kindness, generosity, and fierce love for her family. She built an accomplished career as Executive Director of Pharmaceuticals and Analytical Development at Insmed Inc., where she was admired for both her brilliance and her compassion.

Toni gave everything, and then some, with a full heart. She made everyone feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. Her family will remember her as the strongest woman they knew, and they will carry her spirit with them always.

Toni found joy in life’s simple moments, especially time spent by the pool with Tom and their three dogs, soaking in the sunshine and each other’s company.

A private service will be held at a later date.
