Barbara JoAnn Brogdon, 48, of Sumter, South Carolina, passed away July 6, 2026. A celebration of life service will take place on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 2 pm at Calvary Bible Church located 770 N. Wise Dr. in Sumter, SC.

Born in Sumter, South Carolina on August 14, 1977, Barbara was a beloved mother and grandmother who cherished time with her children and grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her two children, Taylor Monique Hicks and Joseph Tyler Brogdon, daughter-in-law Gabby Brogdon, and her two grandchildren Shea Monique Gunter and Sophia Grace Gunter. Barbara is also survived by her mother Aloysia Eron, stepfather Chris Eron, and her two sisters Ruby Jean Edwards and Nikki Daniels.  

Barbara will be remembered for her pure genuine heart and love for her family especially her grandbabies, and for her trust in God. Her laughter, wisdom and love were a gift to all who knew her.
