Barry Jonathan Browne Jr, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on January 28, 2025.  He was the son of the late Medley Abbott Valant and Barry Jonathan Browne, Sr.

B.J. was a 1992 graduate of Person High School in Roxboro, NC, where he lettered in basketball, tennis, and football.  He had resided in the Myrtle Beach, SC, area for the past 27 years of his life, primarily working in the service and hospitality industries.  He will be forever loved and missed by his family and numerous friends.

B.J. is survived by his devoted aunts: Connie Browne (Marshall Edwards, uncle), of High Point, NC, and Carolyn Haycraft of Thomasville, NC, as well as his many loving cousins, and his faithful furry companion, Goober Browne, Jr.

A visitation/remembrance service will be held for BJ on Saturday, March1, 2025 from 2pm-3pm at New Brook UMC, 265 Old Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573.
