Betty Little Obituary

Betty Jane Little, also known as Mammaw by her grandchildren, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2024, in Little River, South Carolina. She was born on November 22, 1937, in Carrollton, MD, to the late Kenneth Blizzard and Stella Miller. Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Wilbur Little, her son Allen Little, her brother Elmo Blizzard, and her stepsister Joann Bentzel.

Betty was a supportive, kind-hearted, organized, and opinionated individual who touched the lives of those around her. She will be remembered for her strength to do things on her own and wanting you to get out of her road. Betty enjoyed doting on her "sweetie" Skylar. She had a passion for Nascar, Bingo, and watching her favorite game shows. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In her professional life, Betty dedicated 28 years to Kessler Shoes and later retired from Random House after 10 years of service. She then embarked on a new chapter of her life, working at Walmart as a greeter for 6 years. Betty's strong work ethic and dedication were evident throughout her career.

Betty is survived by her loving daughter, Darlene Skeen with partner Robert Griffin, and her cherished grandchildren: Josh Skeen with partner Kim Whittington, Jason Skeen, and Bethany Berardi with husband Peter Berardi. She will also be remembered by her great-grandchildren, Skylar Berardi and Katelyn Leppo. Additionally, Betty is survived by her sister, Marie Sanbower and husband Joe, her stepbrother, James Witte and wife Mary, her brother, Roger Miller, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

Betty Jane Little's memory will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved her. Her supportive nature, kind heart, and love will be missed by all. May she rest in peace, knowing that she has left an indelible mark on the lives she touched. Mammaw, we will always try to be careful going home.
