Bill Bob Brackner Obituary

Billy Bob Brackner, age 71, passed away on February 2nd, 2026 at his home in North Myrtle Beach.


Billy was born May 2, 1954 in Linz, Austria, a son of the late Russell and Helga Elisabeth Findenig Brackner.  He was a lifelong friend to so many people, most located in North Myrtle Beach and Smith Mountain Lake Virginia. Before retirement, he worked as a realtor at the beach, and prior to that he was a successful entrepreneur. He liked to golf, travel and party with his friends. He was always up for a boat ride.


He is survived by a son, Robert Brackner and his wife, Amanda and three granddaughters, Ruth Abigail, Bridget Reese and Julia Claire, who referred to him affectionately as "Grandpa Bill.” He will be truly missed. 


As he requested, the family will be holding a private service on the beach at a later date.”
