Billy was a 1974 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School where he could be found in a basketball court or attending concerts. He was a music connoisseur of all genres and could recite most every word to every song. His work ethic was nothing short of amazing which showed through his 39 years of employment at World Wide Equipment. He never met a stranger and could usually find him talking to a stranger about his grandkids, or his beloved WV Mountaineers. You could search the world over and not find one person who could say anything negative, he loved everyone and wanted everyone to be happy. He opened his heart and home to family and friends anytime they needed a place to stay. He was selfless and always putting others needs before his own. Billy loved all sports and especially those that his grandchildren participated in, but he was the epitome of a WVU and Dale Earnhardt fan. He loved attending Nascar races and ball games with his son- in-law, Lamar. He loved his grandchildren and loved watching them participating in their sports and you could count on seeing him in the stands cheering them on. He loved the beach and wouldn’t pass up a trip to go and most recently, he was living out his retirement dreams and had officially become a snowbird with his wife Annie, as he affectionately called her. There are not enough words or time that could describe just how amazing he was, but we will honor him by living and loving the way Billy would want us too.
Services will be held Friday, June 7th at North Charleston Baptist Church visitation from 2-3pm and the celebration of life will be from 3-4pm.
