Carrie Lucinda Murphy Dunn, 83, of Conway, SC passed away on June 30, 2024.  Born in All Souls Hospital in Morris, NJ, she was the daughter to the late George Murphy and Carrie Hendershot Murphy.

Carrie had a passion for taking care of children.  She enjoyed the simple things in life.  You could find her spending her free time reading, going to the library, cooking, sewing, or playing her computer games.  She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, sister, and friend.

In addition to her parents, Carrie was preceded in death by her siblings, John Hedberg, Paul Hedberg, Karl Headberg, and Pattie Hedberg; daughters, Stacy Dunn, and Joanna Vehrs.

She is survived by her husband, Sanford H. Dunn of Conway, SC; siblings, George Murphy of FL, Nancy Muni of NC; children, Debbie Johnson (Marshall) of SC, Roy Dunn (Christine) of FL, Jeffery Dunn of FL, Eugene Dunn (Tracy) of FL, Jennifer Christy of SC, Ricky Dunn (Briana) of FL, Mistie Dunn of SC, Jared Dunn (Destiny) of SC, Nichole Bryson (Justin) of SC, Ashley Dunn of SC; grandchildren, Travis, Kyle, Brittney, Patrick, Elizabeth, Heather, David, Mary Elizabeth, Nataly, Clarissa, Kaelah, Jayce, Bruce, Jaidyn, Lucy and Envee.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 2pm at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 4301 Red Bluff Rd, Loris, SC 29569.
