Catello Thomas Calabrese Obituary

Carter T. Calabrese 81, of Myrtle Beach, SC (formerly of Guilford, CT), beloved husband of Ginny Calabrese, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, February 27, 2026, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.  Son of the late Joseph and Rose Calabrese, loving father of Phil (Melissa), Chris (Brandy), Lori, Joe, Felicia, and Nick (Alycia). Carter was the proud and fun-loving Poppy of Ethan, Caroline, Olivia, and Avery, all of which were the love of his life.

Surviving is his sister, Joann Vitarelli of Massachusetts and many nephews and cousins. Prior to his semi-retirement in 1998, he was a successful wholesale food broker in CT and a small business owner. From 1998-2014, he and his family were the owners and operators of Party Maker which sold party supplies and decorations for all occasions. Carter had a larger-than-life dynamic personality that will be missed by so many and all that loved him.

In honor of his wishes, he will be cremated and a celebration of life is planned at a later date.

Cremation Services Direct (843-651-1194) of Myrtle Beach, SC, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
