Charles L. Manazer “Charlie”, aged 86, passed away on June 22, 2024, in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Born on November 12, 1937, in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, to the late Jack & Nora (Shaker) Manazer. Charlie was a beloved figure in his community and cherished by a large extended family. 

 Charlie proudly served in the United States Navy, dedicating years of service to his country. His commitment to duty was evident in every aspect of his naval career, fostering a deep sense of pride and camaraderie among his fellow servicemen. 

 A devout member of Haws Avenue United Methodist Church in Norristown, PA, Charlie was actively involved in the church community. He sang in the church choir and participated in the men's group, contributing to various church activities with enthusiasm and a joyful spirit. 

Charlie’s hobbies were a reflection of his vibrant personality. He was an avid fan of all Phillies sports, sharing his passion with family and friends during game seasons. His love for traveling and entertaining was paralleled by his commitment to helping others, often volunteering his time and resources to assist those in need. Charlie's great sense of humor brought laughter and light to many, making him a joy to be around. 

 He is survived by his wife, Gloria Manazer; daughters, Janet Marie Elkins (Robert) and Karen Ann Manazer; siblings, Albert Manazer, Irene Bonfiglio, and Jack Manazer (Gloria); grandchildren, Nicole Barnes (Daniel), Emily Elkins, and Matthew Elkins; and eight great-grandchildren. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Nora (Shaker) Manazer, and siblings, Franklin Manazer, Joseph Manazer, and Lorraine Pugliese. 

In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
