Charles Wade Stuby, Jr., 76 years old, born on 11/21/1946 (CWS)

Earthly body ascended to heaven on May 31, 2023; Charlie wanted his soul to become a guardian angel for his loved ones. Charlie has fought a valiant battle against cancer since 2006. 

Charlie was born in Lonaconing, MD and moved to Wheaton, MD with his parents when he was 11 years old.  Son of Charles Wade Stuby, Sr. & Agnes Ruth Creighton Stuby.  Younger brother to Catherine Maxine Stuby Kiddy, married to Raymond Faye Kiddy.  Charlie met his wife of 57 years, Joanna Lee Covert Stuby in 1964 when they attended Wheaton High School.

They resided in Wheaton, MD for 40 years together.  Then retired and moved to Myrtle Beach, SC in May of 2006. Charlie was a hardworking, dedicated, honest, loyal & trustworthy man to his wife, children & friends.  Charlie instilled so many wonderful core values that his children are proud to carry on.  Charlie was the best husband, father, uncle, friend to all who had the honor of knowing him.  “He was the best Papa in Papa world.”  Charles known to others as; Charlie, Pops, Papa, Bud, Big Bear.

WORK:

Telephone Technician by trade but a true craftsman by heart.  Charlie could fix, build & make just about anything from cars, homes, furniture, guitars, crosses and so much more.

INTERESTS:

Devout Christian, guitar player, riding motorcycles, writing poems, journaling, hiking/camping, enjoying nature, playing tennis, racquet ball, softball, volleyball, Redskins, Nascar, Classic Cars, enjoying a cold beer, spending time with friends and family.

Charlie leaves behind so many beloved neighbors & friends that became family.  We have been so blessed to be surrounded by so many good friends that we consider family that we cannot list them all.  Please know you are all appreciated and well loved by each of us & we are thankful for you.
