Christopher (Chris) F. Carll, 65, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at his home with his loving wife by his side.
Chris was born on May 11, 1959, in Olean, New York, to the late James Carll, Sr. and Lillian (Fisher) Carll.
Left to cherish Chris’s memory are his wife of 41 years, Margery Carll; his children, Lianne (Jason) Payne, Kane, PA, and Jacob (Nick Alteri) Carll of Cortland, NY; his loving granddaughter, Emily Stephen; his step-granddaughter, Sydney Payne; his siblings, James P. (Donna) Carll Jr. of Bolivar, NY, Kevin Carll of Olean, NY, Mary (Dan) Reitz of St. Johns, FL, and Nancy Valpey of Lexington, SC; and his beloved four-legged companion, Betty.
Chris lived a full life, enjoying riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, golfing, watching NASCAR and the NFL, cheering on his Buffalo Bills, and hoping for them to win a Super Bowl. He was also an avid reader who loved spending time with his family and being outside.
Chris graduated from Olean High School and worked at Dresser and AM&A's before being employed at the Olean General Hospital for 32 years as Manager of Environmental Services. He was well respected by his employees and everyone who came in contact with him. Anyone who knew Chris will always remember him for his great sense of humor and his remarkable smile that could light up a room.
Cremation Services Direct of Myrtle Beach (843-651-1194) is assisting the family with the arrangements. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
