Clara Alisa Bennett, 61, passed away on March 28, 2025, in Myrtle Beach, SC. Born in Lancaster, SC, she was the daughter to the late John Earl Truesdell and Jackie Phillips Truesdell.
Clara served in the United States Army as a Private (PV1), in her earlier years. She would serve her country for 6 years and 10 months.
She enjoyed taking walks on the beach and collecting the beautiful seashells. She also enjoyed dancing, reading, riding on a Harley, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Clara also had a soft spot for cats.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her sister, Sheila Truesdell Rankin and her brother, John Earl Truesdell Jr.
She is survived by her son, John Cornwell and his wife, Kristen; grandchildren, Alexia Jewell Cornwell, Cullen Brock Vinesett, and Emma Grace Cornwell; sibling, Lynn Truesdell Lee; 3 nieces, Mia Hinson, Augusta Lee, and Stormie Rankin.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Grand Strand Medical Center and all the nurses and doctors who cared for her in her final days.
