Clifford M. Kennedy of Longs, SC and Brockport, NY passed away on January 6th, 2025. Born in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of Frances Kennedy and Patricia Boehm Kennedy. Clifford spent his earlier years in Schenectady and his high school years in Prattsville, NY before moving to the Rochester, NY area. In recent years, Clifford moved to the Myrtle Beach, SC area with his dog Gus to be near his sister Mickey and the ocean.

Clifford is survived by his daughter Kaitlyn P. Kennedy, his son Ean M. Kennedy, daughter-in-law Alexis Kennedy and grandchildren, Bellamy and Rory. He is also survived by his ex-wife Helen Kennedy Ryan, sister Mickey Anderson, sister Jeanne Kennedy, stepmother Virgina Kennedy along with several nieces and a nephew.  

Cliff was a construction surveyor for over thirty years with the Operating Engineers Local Union 545D and worked on many building, road, tunnel and bridge projects in and around the Rochester area. As a sports lover, Cliff enjoyed playing softball, basketball and especially loved watching his favorite NFL team, the Green Bay Packers, in person at Lambeau field whenever possible. Cliff also loved body surfing in the ocean and spending time with close friends at a special freshwater pond among the blueberries. He will always be remembered for his antics on “The Grinder”. Always the life of the party, Cliff had many hilarious stories and tales to share with friends and family to keep them laughing. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date in early summer, in Prattsville, NY where his ashes will be interred with other family members. Family members will contact friends and family when the date has been set for the memorial gathering.
