David Michael Mahoney, 75, of Conway, SC passed away on August 29, 2024.  Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Daniel Mahoney and Joan Munns Mahoney.

David enjoyed many things in life.  He was a proud Marine and was a member of the Marine Corps league.  He enjoyed sports, golfing, traveling often with his wife, cooking, and spending time with family and loved ones. He was also a member of the American Legion and The Elks.

David was preceded in death by his children; Laura Sue Mahoney, David Daniel Mahoney, Nicole Marie Mahoney; granddaughter, Jessica Lynne Dowdy; and brother, Steven Mahoney.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Catherine Laura Mahoney; son in law, Paul Dowdy; brother, Al Mahoney; 2 granddaughters; Kaitlin and Madison Dowdy, and grandson, Christian Lafrance.  He also leaves behind his dog “Trixie” and his cat “Kitty”.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Hospice Care (Agape Care) for the care of MR. Mahoney.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
