David and Jan Dorfer Obituary

David Edward Dorfer, age 57 and Jan Tharrington Dorfer, age 56 both of Murrells Inlet passed away suddenly Thursday and Wednesday, May 20 and 19, 2021, respectively, in Smithfield, NC.

Born June 20, 1963 in Syracuse, NY, he is the son of Janet A. Beck and the late John E. Dorfer, Jr. Mr. Dorfer was a truck driver. Mrs. Dorfer was born December 26. 1964 in Wake County, NC and she was the daughter of the late Edward and Carol H. Tharrington. Mrs. Dorfer was a realtor.

Surviving are his mother and step father, Janet and Sonny Beck of Murrells Inlet and a his daughter Jennifer K. Dorfer Schuler of North Dakota.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Low Country Community Church with Pastor Steve Fairchild and Pastor Peter Milosky officiating.
