Dennis Robert Marcis, 83, of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, at his home with his daughters at his side. Born in Chicago, IL he was the son of the late Edwin and Clare Marcis.

Dennis earned an associate’s degree in electronic technology from DeVry Technical Institute.  He worked at Argonne National Laboratory and was also a licensed Real Estate Broker in IL and SC.  While in Myrtle Beach, SC he pursued his love of remodeling and carpentry as his career.

He loved to cook and was known for his homemade pizza.  He followed the Stock Market actively.  Spending time with his family and friends was very important to him, and he made everyone laugh with his infectious sense of humor

 Dennis was a very devoted husband to his wife, Patricia who passed away just before their 60th anniversary.  He was a very loving father and grandfather.  He is survived by his daughters: Laura Marcis Barry and Lisa Marcis Simpson; grandchildren: Kyle Barry, Erin Barry and Owen Simpson; and sister, Beverly Shrupsha.

There will be a Funeral Mass on Friday, June 27, 2025, 10:00 am at St. Michael Catholic Church in Garden City, SC.
