It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dixie Bross who left us on Feb. 5, 2026, at the age of 89.


Dixie was born on June 28, 1936, in Kane Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Russell Andrews, and Florence “Tot” Andrews. She graduated from Sheffield High School and was employed as a bookkeeper for Collins Pine Co, Kane Hardwood Co, and Schaffer Electric Co.


A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Dixie was known for her kindness, and steady strength. She loved dancing, quilting, and roller skating, and found joy in helping others learn. Her selfless nature always placed the needs of her family above her own. She will be missed for her warm smile, her gentle wisdom, and her unconditional love.


In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her ex-husband John “Ronnie” Bross, her daughter Kathryn “Kate” Barsody, and a grandson Jason Morelli.


Surviving is her partner Jerry Carr, Her sister Carol Waugh, her son John “Rusty” Bross and his wife Kathy, a son in law Leonard Barsody; 5 grandchildren Justin Morelli and his wife Julia, Monica Clinch and her husband Christopher, Michelle Morelli, Kaylee Bowser and her husband Sean, Kelsey Schott and her husband Brandon; 17 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.


A celebration of life for Dixie will be held at the Sheffield United Methodist Church this summer.


The date will be announced at a later time.


Cremation Services Direct (843-651-1194) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is assisting the family with the arrangements.
