Dorothy Wilma Brabant

Dorothy Wilma Brabant, 79, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away peacefully with her family by her side at home on Monday, September 7, 2020.  Dorothy was born on November 4, 1940 in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late William and Loraine Whyte.   

Dorothy enjoyed traveling around the world and reading.  Spending individual time with each person she loved and making them feel special.  Her greatest joy was being a mom, wife, grandma, and great grandma.

Dorothy graduated from Western Michigan University, class of 1962.  She was a volunteer at Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 196.   

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband Ronald Duane Brabant of Myrtle Beach, SC and mother-in-law Ada Brabant.  Three sisters Catherine Gallow of Gross Isle, MI; Nancy Johnson (Jim Johnson) of Prestonburg, KY, and Ken Brabant (Debbie Brabant).  Four amazing children Ronald William Brabant (Amy Brabant) of Lansing, MI; Stuart Winston Brabant (Robin Cousins) of Lansing, MI ; Allyson Whyte Chambers of Myrtle Beach, SC; Dennis Ray Brabant (Denise Brabant) of Saint Johns, MI.  She was a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren Emily Brabant, Paxton Brabant, Jake Brabant, Allyssa Chambers, Payton Brabant, Marley Chambers,     Robin Davalos (David Davalos), Jenna Baker, Stephanie Boothroyd (Jeremey Boothroyd), Michael Brabant.  Five great grandchildren Wyatt Brabant, Ethan Cousins, Charles Davalos, Autumn Boothroyd, Winter Boothroyd, Audra Boothroyd.
