Eileen Travers Luden, 77, passed away February 15, 2025, surrounded by close family members after a brief illness.   Born in Cambridge, MD, she was the daughter of the late A. Donald Travers and Rosella Callaghan Travers.

After moving to Horseheads with her family in the mid 60's from Brentwood, Long Island, Eileen found employment at A&P where she worked in Data Processing and remained there until its closure in 1982. From there she went to work at and eventually retired from Hardinge in Elmira, N.Y.

Eileen enjoyed playing Bunco and Mah Jong with her friends.  She was also a passionate rescuer of dogs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William (Bill) Travers.

Eileen is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert A. Luden of Longs, SC; her only child whom she adored, Rick Luden (Maria) of Horseheads, NY; grandchildren who she loved dearly, Kristopher Kernan, Hannah Rose and Helena Lauren Luden all of Horseheads, NY, Kimberly DeWolf and Stephanie DeWolf of Würzburg, Germany; great-grandson, Yemil DeWolf of Würzburg, Germany; brother, Robert (Lora) Travers of Ocala, FL; nieces, Jodie (Aaron) Sherman of Nebraska, Marianne (Donnie) Bishop of Horseheads, NY, Nikole Shaffer of NC; nephew, Michael Battisti of Horseheads, NY, and Jason Cameron of CA.

Respecting Eileen's wishes, there will not be any services, the family is asking in lieu of flowers if you would consider making a donation to your local SPCA or shelter in Eileen's memory.
