Emrico (Emery) Dosio passed peacefully, on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023, at home with his family in Myrtle Beach, SC following a fight with Parkinson’s disease. He was 71 years old. Emery was born in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Virginia Dosio (Moore) and Delfino Dosio.
Emery was a disabled U.S. Army Ranger veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. Where he was awarded a Purple Heart, and a Vietnam Service Medical with two bronze stars.
Prior to moving to the Carolinas in 2001, Emery lived in Hyde Park, NY. Where he was known for his volunteer work for the DAV. He was always helping a fellow veteran get their benefits or driving them to appointments. In his early years, he was a hunter and a fisher. Or could be found building things including picnic tables or wooden chests. He was an avid collector of all things antique. During his later years in life, you could always find him at a diner enjoying a Pastrami Reuben or hanging out with his family.
Emery was a proud father of two amazing women. Tina Kosier and her husband Christopher of Myrtle Beach, SC and Tonya Landivar and her husband Angel Landivar of Hyde Park, NY. His pride and joy were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His grandchildren include, Monica Alonzo-Santana, Megan Kosier, Landon Landivar, Leah Landivar all of Hyde Park, NY. His great-grandchildren include Ella Kosier, Laken Kosier, and Emmett Coon all of Hyde Park, NY. Emery is also survived by his 7 brothers and 6 sisters and countless nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister as well.
Emery was the most selfless person his family knew and will be sincerely missed by all he came in contact with.
