Frances E. Patras (Koudakis) 97, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Myrtle Beach Manor.  Frances resided most of her life in Perth Amboy, NJ and also lived in Shark River Hills and Little Egg Harbor, NJ.

Frances, migrated from Chios Greece to Perth Amboy, New Jersey with her loving husband Gus Patras, soon after they were married in 1949.  They were the owners of the Crystal Restaurant in Perth Amboy, NJ for many years.  Frances moved to Myrtle Beach in May of 2016, with her daughter and son in law, Marianthe and Daniel Weese.  Frances was a devoted member of Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society.  Frances, spoke five languages, which became useful when she volunteered at the USO during World War II, in Alexandria, Egypt.  She enjoyed her volunteering days at Southern Ocean Community Hospital, Manahawkin, NJ where she received the annual Star Award for her dedicated service.  She loved the Beach and her travels to Paradise Island in the Bahamas.  In her final years, she lived at Terra Bella, an independent living facility where she enjoyed her many friendships and loved dancing during their happy hours.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Gus of 48 years, her loving parents, John and Marianthe Manolakis Koudakis and her sister Poppy Theophilakos.

She is survived by her daughter Marianthe Weese and her husband Daniel, her son Dr. Anthony Patras and his wife Ruth. She is the adored grandmother of Anthony, Ariana and Ciara, great grandmother to Niko and beloved Aunt to many Nieces and Nephews.
