Harriet Lenore Hyer Edwards, age 94, of Conway, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, in Conway.

Harriet was born in Orlando, Florida, and was the cherished daughter of the late Harrison Pringle Hyer and Elsie Cassels Hyer. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph I. Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Glen Edwards; her siblings, Joseph Hyer and Margaret Grabill; and her grandsons, Jarred Butler and Jeb Butler II.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Martha Butler, and son-in-law, Jeb Butler; her son, Ross Edwards, and daughter-in-law, Tammy Edwards; her siblings, John Williams and his wife, Norma, and Virginia Conrad and her husband, Tom Schwertner.

Her grandchildren include Tiffany Edwards and her husband, Jonathan; Ross Edwards Jr. and his wife, Erica; Derrick Edwards; MMN3 Devon Edwards, U.S. Navy; Glen Edwards Jr.; Katie Edgar and her husband, Joe; and Colleen Edwards.

Her great-grandchildren include Mason Edwards, Trevor, Cooper, Jaxson, Caleb, Dylan, Evaiya Edwards, and Jackson and Franklin Edgar.

Harriet will be remembered for her deep love of family, her unwavering faith, and the kindness and grace she extended to all who knew her. Her life was a beautiful reflection of love, devotion, and strength, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

A Celebration of Life for Harriet will be held at First United Methodist Church of Conway on April 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM.  Reception to follow
