"Henry" Gary L. McClain

“Henry” Gary L. McClain, 72 of Myrtle Beach, SC formally of Steubenville, OH died peacefully on Thursday November 2,2023 in his home surrounded by family.

Henry was born October 8,1951, in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Oran D. McClain and Edna F. Skidmore McClain. In addition to his parents Henry is preceded in death by his first wife Fern A. Vallas McClain, Siblings Donald, Jack, Kathern Kaiserling, Edna Strachan and Carol Bodley, Son in law Charles L. Trobona Jr.

Henry graduated from Steubenville Big Red class of 1971, was Greek Orthodox by faith. He retired from Weirton Steel after 30 years. He was a collector of classic cars. He enjoyed going to car shows and cruises with his wife, son and friends. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidsons. He enjoyed love of rock and roll and listening to Elvis's music and watching movies with his daughter and wife.

Henry is survived by his wife Roberta Burch McClain of 21 years at home, son Christopher McClain of Steubenville, OH, daughters Angela Trobona of Myrtle Beach, SC, Stacie Fowler (Bill Sperringer) of Wellsburg, WV, goddaughter Melanie Harless of Pa, grandsons Matthew (Leanne) Smith of Gahanna, OH and Braxton Trobona of Myrtle Beach, SC, sister Betty Gotchell of Steubenville, OH, brother and longtime friend Clyde (Donna) Mason of Steubenville, OH, 3 great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation at this time. A graveside service will be held in Steubenville, OH in the spring of 2024.
