Jayla M Walker

Jayla M. Walker, age 61 of Myrtle Beach passed away, Sunday, November 14, 2021, at her home.

Born September 23, 1960, in Dothan, AL, she was the daughter of Morris and Sylvia Cline.  Mrs. Walker had the biggest heart of anyone ever known. She was known for her sense of humor and lit up the room with her laughter, known for the life of the party.  She was warm and welcomed everyone like family.  Jayla was an artist, and found a passion later in life for arts and crafts, including painting furniture and making unique gifts from the heart.  She was a strong Woman of God with a true steadfast faith in Jesus, a faith that she held tightly to through life’s ups and downs. 

She loved the ocean and beach. She often brought "Pocket Surprises" for her grand babies and loved being surrounded by them.  She was adventurous and traveled the country in a motor home multiple times.  

Jayla was a successful business owner/entrepreneur, leading with integrity and a strong work ethic.  Most of all, she put her family first, and was always involved in her kids' activities and school growing up.  She was a devoted wife and took care of her husband through his own cancer battle.  She was wise and shared her wisdom through many heartfelt conversation.  She was the last one to ever judge or criticize.  She loved doing random acts of kindness even for strangers, always willing to help others and was a most generous person..  

Surviving are her husband, James Walker; children, Dustin Walker (Marianne), Rachael Hession (Mike) and Corey Walker (Anna); eight grandchildren and sisters, Pam Bull and Cyndy Rogers.
