Obituary
Joe B Eidson, age 97 of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.
Born April 27, 1926, in Dallas, NC, he was the son of the late William and Flossie Eidson. Mr. Eidson was a World War II, US Navy veteran. He loved to play golf and enjoyed listening to the Gaither’s Gospel Group. He was a proud member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Mr. Eidson was affectionately known to many as Papa Joe and was loved by many for his kind heart.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Judy Eidson; daughter and caregiver, Vodie Eidson; sons, Scott Eidson, David Eidson and John Eidson, Doug Quackenbush, Glenn Quackenbush and Bill Quackenbush; many grandchildren; great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 10, 2023, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
