In Loving Memory of John Charles Hutchinson

April 12, 1968 – June 22, 2026

John Charles Hutchinson, 58, of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, passed away on June 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

He is survived by his beloved children, Jordan Goedert and Alexandra Gezer (Goedert), who were the greatest joy of his life. He is also survived by his loving mother, Dorothy Hutchinson (Glogovsky); his siblings, Cindy Patterson, Mark Hutchinson, and Kimberly Hutchinson; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. John was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Hutchinson.

John was a skilled craftsman and the owner of a wood flooring business. He took great pride in his work and was known for his attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to fix or build just about anything. Whether it was a home improvement project, helping a friend, or lending a hand to family, John was happiest when working with his hands and creating something that would last.

Outside of work, John embraced life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and making memories. His playlists often included favorites such as Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Genesis, Concrete Blonde, and Stevie Nicks. He enjoyed a competitive game of Oh Hell, a round of mini golf, and sharing laughter with those he loved. His easygoing spirit, sense of humor, and generous heart made him someone people naturally gravitated toward.

John's legacy is one of hard work, kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. The floors he crafted will stand as a testament to his skill, but the memories he created and the love he shared will be the true mark he leaves behind.

Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in every favorite song played, every family card game, every round of mini golf, and every act of kindness inspired by his example.

John will be cremated and with his family.
