John Moran, Jr., age 74, of Myrtle Beach, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and children on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at his residence.
John was born June 14, 1951 in Washington, DC, a son of the late John Thomas Moran, Sr. and Audrey Mae Moran. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the Glenn Dale Volunteer Fire Department in Glenn Dale, MD. At one time he was an avid golfer. John enjoyed spending time with his kids, grand-kids and great-grandkids. He was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn Moore.
Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Kathy Moran, one daughter, Shannon Dalton and her husband, Mike, one son, Dale Moran and his wife, Jen, five grandchildren, Lauryn, Audrey, J.T., John Nolan and Dylan, four great-grandchildren, Londyn, Layla, L.J., and Luca, one brother, George Moran and his wife, Louise, and many nieces and nephews.
