John Anthony Stonick, 80, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away on Thursday March 16, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.
John was born June 30,1942 in Manhattan, NY to the late Anthony and Mildred (Savakovski) Stonick. John was a world traveler who had visited all seven continents, he was an avid bird watcher, a wonderful husband, terrific dad, a great grandfather, and a kind man who was loved by everyone. John was a New York City Fire Fighter for 36 years.
John is survived by his wife: Sophia of 29 years, four children: Michael Zeretzki, Bridgitte Paltridge, Donna Fejzollari, and Lisa Lawkins. John has five grandchildren: Tyler, Logan, Jenna, Taigan, and Olivia, and one great grandson: Andre Alexander and a sister, Edna Mohr and brother, Ed Stonick.
