Johnny E. Johnson, 79 of Loris, SC passed away peacefully at his home on August 13 with loved ones and his fur babies by his side. Born on June 17, 1946, in Mullins, SC to the late Ernest and Kathleen Johnson.
Johnny graduated Green Sea High School in 1966. Johnny retired from construction. He never missed an opportunity to tell stories about the high rises that he helped build. He loved the thrill of heights. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and was always finding something to tinker on. The one thing he loved most other than family was racing.
Johnny was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He would help anyone who came in his direction. He was the proudest papa of all his grandchildren and their accomplishments. He loved telling them stories about the good ole days. And his fur babies were his left and right-side kicks.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his infant son, Stephen Johnson.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Melissa Johnson; of Loris, SC; his daughter Loretta Salmons ( Frank) of Loris, SC; his sons Duston Johnson of Conway, SC; Alan Fryer (Megan Thompkins) of Loris, SC; Porter Graham (Ann) of Shallotte, NC; his sister Carolyn Mishoe of Playcard, SC; his granddaughters Nevaeha Edwards(Teo) of Texas; Caylee Edwards of Loris, SC; and grandson Bryson Fryer of Loris, SC.
He is also survived by Cheryl Smith of Loris, SC; and Mikey Thompkins of Loris, SC whom he loved as children, Dixie whom he loved as a granddaughter; and brother-in-law Jeff Todd(Kitty) of Loris, SC.
