Joseph Bartomeo

Joseph Bartomeo passed away on June 13, 2022, at the age of 78 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Joe was born on November 27, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York to immigrant parents.  He worked 30 years for Verizon, working his way up the company from a telephone repair technician all the way to Project Site Manager. He was an avid golfer, tinkerer, treasure hunter, and coin collector who had a magnetic personality.  When he had the opportunity, he enjoyed trying his luck at slot machines and casino table games. He will be missed by all those who knew him for his unique sayings, his radiant smile, his boisterous laugh, and his unorthodox construction techniques. He may have left, but the endless stories of him that bring joy to his family will live on forever. He truly was one-of-a-kind.

Joe was preceded in death by his oldest son, Joseph and surviving Joe are his wife of 40 years, Margaret; four children, Marie (Joanne), Joann (Francis), Matthew (Catherine), and Anthony (Amber); seven grandchildren, Christopher (Allison), Amanda (Alex), Travis, Casey, Reagan, Charlotte, Carley and he eagerly anticipated the Fall for the coming arrival of his eighth grandchild and first great-grandchild.
