Joseph Louis Walls, 70, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on September 30, 2024.  Born in Fayetteville, NC, he was a son of the late Herman Louis and Joan G. Walls.

Joseph loved to entertain family and friends by singing classic rock and classic country songs.  He was an out doorman who loved hunting and fishing.  Joe had an interest in trying and cooking different cuisines.  Most of all he enjoyed traveling with his leading lady, Helen by his side.

He was a proud United States veteran.  He serviced in Public Affairs, US Air Force Color Guard, 317th Avionics Instrument shop, and an Air Force Recruiter.  His service information includes, US Department of State/Facility Manager/US Embassy Beijing, China/US Embassy Almaty Republic of Kazakhstan.  He retired as an Air Force Staff Sergeant.

He was the Marion District President of United Methodist Men Southern Conference, Surfside United Methodist Church Usher, and Oasis Shriner Patrol.  He was also a Masonic Lodge member and Scottish Rite.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Helen Walls; daughter and son-in-law Elaine and Jeff Shumate; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sara Jarvis; son, Jason Walls Moore; sisters, Tracy Thompson and Vickie Ramsey, and four grandchildren, Sean, Emily, Grant, and Parker.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Surfside United Methodist Church, 800 13th Ave N, Surfside Beach, SC 29575.
