Katherine LaVoie, 86, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, in the comfort of her home. Born in Tupper Lake, New York, Katherine lived most of her life in Centerbury, Connecticut, before moving to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to be closer to her son.

Katherine found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed square dancing, bowling, teaching youth to bowl, and camping. She also loved basketball and was an avid fan of the UConn Huskies and Boston Celtics.

She is survived by her beloved spouse of 67 years, Alfred LaVoie Jr.; her son Alfred LaVoie lll; her daughter-in-law, Sherry; her grandsons, Tyler LaVoie and Kyle LaVoie and his wife Morgan; her great-grandson Greyson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Katherine will be remembered as a woman who spoke her mind, loved her family deeply, and left behind many beautiful memories. At her request, there will be no services. Gifts of remembrance may be made to hospice company of your choice.
