Kathleen Ellen Bowers, 85, of Bedford Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, including her daughter Kara Allen and her devoted husband, James A. Bowers.

Kathleen was born on February 13, 1940, in Bedford Oh, to Dorothy Salter and Paul Bauers. She graduated from Kent State University and taught home economics at Elyria High School before embarking on a path of entrepreneurship. A spirited restaurateur, she brought her vision and energy to everything she built.

 

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James A. Bowers; her four beloved daughters April, Heather, Jenifer, and Kara; her six treasured grandchildren, Kayla, Nicholas, Tyler, Michael, Rachel, and Madeline; and her three cherished great grandchildren, Ada, Arya, and Logan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Paul. 

Kathleen was a devoted mother to her four girls, caring for them deeply and instilling in them the values of independence and strength that shaped them into resilient women. She also had a passion for travel and innovation and had a creative eye and architectural outlook on life, she left a lasting mark on those around her.

 

Kathleen's warmth, resilience, and boundless love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
