Lesley Carol Eastham, 72, passed away Friday, June 2, 2023, in the arms of her loving husband, Jim Eastham, and surrounded by her children after a long battle with cervical cancer.
She was an amazing Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Jim Eastham; her children, Tammy Smith, Karen (Dale) Linkous, Sandra Pritchard, Shawn (Jen) Clark, and stepdaughter, Anne (Jared) Decamps; her grandchildren, Daniel Causey, Danielle Wathen, Savannah Smith, McKinlee Parsons, David Linkous, Jackson Talley, Zoe Pritchard, Caroline Clark, Braxton DeCamps, Bella DeCamps, and Blakely DeCamps; her great-grandchildren, Annabelle Wathen and Lila Parsons.
Lesley spent her life helping and teaching others. She worked and volunteered as a paramedic most of life in Horry and Georgetown counties. During her career, she was a member of Wyboo Fire Dept, Myrtle Beach Rescue, Surfside Beach Rescue, Murrells Inlet-Garden City Rescue, Midway Fire, and Georgetown County Emergency Services. She was also a CPR instructor for American Red Cross and American Heart Association, Deputy Coroner for Georgetown County, and Department Infectious Control Officer of Georgetown County. She retired in 2021 as Lieutenant Firefighter Paramedic but continued as a volunteer Paramedic and Instructor for Georgetown County.
Lesley always went above and beyond the call of duty. Her reach spread throughout the community. Lesley loved spending time with her husband, family, friends, and her dog, Stasha. She also loved gardening and being outside on the farm - with her chickens and goats.
