Lester F. Brunda “Moon Dog”, 87, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away peacefully at his home on June, 21, 2024 with his wife, daughter, grandsons, his nephew, and his nephew’s wife by his side.  Born in Passaic, NJ he was the son of the late Frank and Anna Brunda.

Lester, better known as Moon Dog to his friends, was a man that lived life to the fullest.  He was a member of the Whispering Pines Golf League and the Murrells Inlet Elks.  He enjoyed playing golf, riding his motorcycles, exercising, singing karaoke, music and a nice cold beer.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Brunda of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Kristin LaFaso of Mooresville, NC; and his two grandsons, Alex and Conner LaFaso of Mooresville, NC; brother in law Dennis Yaskowsky and his wife,Teri of Palm Coast, FL; nephew, Michael Yaskowsky and his wife, Holly of Virginia; niece, Tanya Herrmann and her husband, Mike of Virgina; great niece, Kristina Herrmann and great nephew, Matthew Herrmann of Virginia.

In addition to his parents, Lester was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Mihalik and two nieces, Karen Mihalik and Denise D’Agostino.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to all of their friends, family, nursing staffs, and doctors that stepped up in the last four months and cared for Moon Dog.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, July 20, 2024  at Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church, 2637 Highway 17 South, Garden City, SC 29576.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6pm, Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Sportsman Bar and Grill in Myrtle Beach, 4735 S Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29575.
