Linda Marie (Cluett) Hayes
August 3, 1942 ~ February 10, 2024 (age 81) 81 Years Old
Linda Marie (Cluett) Hayes, age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning February 10, 2024. She was born August 3, 1942 in Tupper Lake, NY and lived in Massachusetts many years before moving to Murrells Inlet, SC where she found enjoyment and warmth.
Linda is survived by her loving and caring daughter Kathryn Sokol-Gilmore and her husband Steve along with grandson Jake, his wife Kristen and two very special great grandchildren. Linda leaves behind her sister Beverly Lund of Brookfield Massachusetts, her brother David Cluett of Kirkland Washington as well as a brother Steve of North Carolina. Linda will be greeted in heaven by her mother and father and is resting now with her son Brian and daughter Michelle.
Linda wanted to acknowledge several special friends who have been a part of her life and brought her much happiness. Especially those she graduated with in 1960 from North Brookfield High School. Linda found joy later in life with a group of wonderful women painting in Surfside Beach SC. She loved swimming, playing card games, sitting outside watching birds, especially cardinals, hummingbirds and butterflies and any animals that crossed her path.
Linda’s family would like to especially acknowledge and thank all the employees at Oakview Health & Rehab in Conway SC for their patience, kindness, wonderful care, and love given to our mother. Her family would also like to thank family and friends for all your prayers.
There will not be a traditional funeral held.
The family will be organizing a celebration of life with a graveside service at Saint Joseph’s cemetery in North Brookfield and the details will be shared when finalized.
Cremation Services Direct (843-651-1194) of Myrtle Beach is assisting the family with the arrangements.
