Loomis Leroy Scott Jr., 84, passed away peacefully at his home on August 23, 2024 in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
"Scotty", as everyone knew him, was born in Easton, ME on September 25, 1939. The son of the late Loomis L Scott Sr. and Laura R. Browning Scott.
He graduated from Easton High School in 1957 and worked various jobs throughout his career. He enjoyed playing board games, bingo, and cards with friends. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling and traveling the countryside with his wife, Kitty. Later they became snowbirds in North Myrtle Beach, SC for 19 years before he moved there all year long.
Scotty was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Katharine (Kitty) Cronin Scott; sister, Shirley Shaw, two brother-in-laws, Lawrence Shaw Sr. and John Cronin Jr.; and two nephews, Shane Shaw and, and Michael Cronin.
He is survived by his son, Gregory Scott (JoEllen) of Danforth; two grandsons, Matthew Scott (Amy) of Merrill, ME and Patrick Scott (Courtney Gardiner) of Presque Isle; three great-grandchildren, Cooper, and Shelby Scott, of Merrill and Arizona "Zoey" Scott of Presque Isle; sister, Sandra Moore (Stan) of Newport, ME; brother, Larry Scott (Connie) of San Angelo, TX; and his sister-in-law, Virgina "Ginny" Joes (Jerry) of Mapleton.
