Loria Pauline Grainger Lewis was born in Conway, SC to Theston and Viola Tyler Grainger.  Loria had one brother Blondel Grainger and one sister Carolyn Grainger Britt.  Loria “Pauline” attended Loris High School until she married Lloyd G Lewis of Loris in 1955.

Loria “Pauline” was proceeded in Death by both her Parents Theston and Viola Grainger, Brother Blondel Grainger, Husband Lloyd G Lewis, and Daughter Renee Lewis Johnson

Survived by one daughter Robin Lewis Hemm, a sister Carolyn Britt of Conway, three grandsons Mark Anthony Hemm Jr, (Kasmira) of Massachusetts, Tyler Bryant Hemm of Loris and Patrick Michael Hemm of Myrtle Beach; two granddaughters Alisha Johnson of Virginia and Allison Johnson of Georgia. One son in law, Douglas Michael Johnson of Georgia. Ten great grandchildren, Brayden P., Aubrey H., Addie H., Riley H., Harper J., Ansley S., Joseph “JJ” S., Jayda D., Jayden G. and Sophia H.  Many nieces and nephews Debbie, Deena, Sandy, Dale, Shannon, Johnathan, and Kenny; also, many great nieces and nephews.  She loved them all so very much.

Loria “Pauline” Lewis, was known to family and friends simply as Pauline, Pauline always had a smile on her face.    She always put others ahead of herself, with a self-sacrificing spirit.  She had a deep-seated love of her faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, in the Loris Congregation, where she remained active until her death.   Paulina believed deeply in words of John 5:28,29 which states “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice. and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life,”; and Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
