Margaret A. Bennett, 83, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Grand Strand  Medical Center. She was born September 28, 1942, in Sheffield, AL, daughter of the late, N.O. Moody and Ruth Mae Barfield Moody.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her second husband, Jim Bennett; as well as her first husband, George Cornwell.

Survivors include her two daughters, Debra Boehle of Myrtle Beach, SC and Michelle Emminger and her husband, Bob Rice of Cincinnati, OH; a brother, Charles Moody and his wife, Jonell of Georgetown SC; one sister, Marcy Taylor and her husband, John of Cincinnati, OH; five grandchildren, David (Christina), Nicole (Dustin), Denny (Tasha), Amber (Paul), Cameron; eleven great grandchildren, Hope, Aeralynn, Lucas, Wyatt, Grayson, Leah, Grace, Faith, Mckenzie, Savannah, Clayton; two nieces, Jessica (John) and Brittany (Jamie); two nephews, Greg (Jen) and Nick; as well as many great nieces, nephews and extended family members. 

More than anything, Margaret loved her family and would have done anything for them. Margaret enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures such as shopping, traveling, and going on cruises. She faithfully attended church services at Pawley's Island Community Church and cherished her faith and church family. She treasured time spent with loved ones, especially when playing games and cards together. Margaret was also known as a wonderful cook, and her home was often filled with the warmth of family gatherings and home-cooked meals. She also volunteered at the Suncoast Hospice in Clearwater, Florida.

A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at a later date in Ohio. The time of which will be announced once arrangements are finalized.
