Martha Elizabeth Rader Hoyle Strickland was the fifth child, three boys and two girls, of Helen and Virgil Rader of Findlay Ohio.  Martha is survived by her husband, Mitchell Strickland of Myrtle Beach, SC, She has a brother, Glenn Rader of Pandora, Ohio, a sister-in-law, Betty Rader of Alta Vista, Virginia.  She has a son, Ron Hoyle, and a daughter, Angela Weaver, from a previous marriage and six grandchildren. 

Martha graduated from Findlay High School and held degrees from Columbia College and the University of South Carolina.  She worked in school administration and retired from education.

Martha enjoyed playing Mahjong and boating.  She was an active member of Socastee United Methodist Church. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Socastee United Methodist Church (5575 Dick Pond Road, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588).
