Mary Jo DeLong, age 76, of Longs, SC, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 at her residence.

Mary Jo was born August 30, 1949 in Salamanca, New York, a daughter of the late Ransom R. and Elizabeth Louisa Eastman Schaefer.  She was an ESL Teacher in Quincy, MA and was a sales manager for Fuller Bruch Company.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Dale DeLong, two children, John DeLong and his wife, Brittany and Dawn DeLong and her fiancé, Michael Derochea, three grandchildren, Zachary DeLong, Michelle Souza and Franklin Garcia, one brother, David Schaefer and two sisters, Judy Schaefer Furlong and Jane Schaefer Hohman.
