Melvin Takahara Obituary

Melvin T. Takahara, age 79 of Conway passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021, at his home with his family.

Born January 17, 1942, in Honolulu, HI, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret Takahara. Mr. Takahara was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam and was a medical Corpman in Monmouth, NJ. He was a retired San Diego County probation officer.

Surviving is his wife, Barbara Takahara; his children, Mark Toshio Takahara and wife Shannon and Sumie Takahara Shah and husband, Rahul; granddaughter, Kaia Margaret Shah and two brothers, Jeff and Glen Takahara.

Services were held June 13, 2021, at Shiv Shakti Peeth Temple in Queens, NY., with Swami Ji Harish Changer Puri officiating the ceremony.
