Michael McKinney

Michael McKinney, 76, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020.  He was born October 11, 1943 in Trenton, NJ son of the late Thomas John McKinney and Gertrude Lynch McKinney.

Michael, was a friendly guy who enjoyed fishing whenever he could.  He also loved listening to his oldies and DooWop with his 45 rpm record collection.  He was proud that he earned a black belt and was taught Tae Kwon Do by Grandmaster Ray Minger in Philadelphia. 

Michael served proudly in the Air Force and did a tour in Vietnam.  For many years he worked with the homeless veterans at Stand Down in Philadelphia.

Survivors include his loving wife, Margaret McKinney of Myrtle Beach; his daughter, Melissa Pendergast and her husband, Thomas; two adorable grandchildren whom he loved very much, Quinn, 5 years old and Rory, three years old.

Due to the Corona Virus, a memorial service will be held at a later date in Philadelphia, PA.
