Nancy Braxton Taylor, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, in Myrtle Beach, SC, at the age of 85. She was born on August 5, 1940 in Pitt County NC.

Family and friends are invited to attend a joint memorial service for Nancy and Bobby Taylor (who passed on August 5th) that will be held at 4 pm on August 23, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home 2100 East 5th St. Greenville, NC 27858.

Nancy grew up on a farm and was a lifelong resident of Greenville until moving to Ayden in 1969. She relocated to Myrtle Beach in 2008. She grew up as a member of St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church, later joining First PHC in Greenville.

Nancy worked as a bookkeeper for A&P in Greenville and for a couple of smaller businesses during that time. In the mid 70’s she became employed by Pitt Community College as the Financial Aid Officer, a position she maintained until her retirement in 1995.

Nancy loved to decorate with her greatest passion being Christmas. She collected Nativities and Santas of many varieties and kept a large Christmas cabinet display year around.

Nancy and her husband, Bobby Taylor, celebrated their 60th anniversary in June of this year and were inseparable until his passing two weeks ago. 

She is survived by her four children Tyrone Taylor (Shirley) of Surfside Beach, SC, Teresa Taylor of Grimesland, NC, Ed Taylor (Janie) of Greensboro, NC and Frank Taylor (Jeannette) of Murrells Inlet, SC. Her grandchildren are Daron (Crystal) Taylor, Jessica (Chris) Cappel, Shannon (Denis) Byrd, Nathan (Allanna) Taylor, Laural Morgan, Harley Crisp, Dillon Taylor, Michael (Tricia) White and the late Wesley Taylor. Additionally, she has 9 great-grandchildren.
