Paul Dean Eubanks Sr. Obituary

Paul Dean Eubanks, Sr. passed away peacefully on October 30th after a recent illness. Lately residing in Pawleys Island, Mr. Eubanks was born in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, in 1939. He was the son of David P. and Virginia M. Eubanks of Roebuck, South Carolina. He attended Roebuck High School in Spartanburg, South Carolina.


Mr. Eubanks was the second of four children. After graduating in 1957, he joined the US Army, serving as a paratrooper with numerous distinctions. He married his hometown sweetheart, Patsy S. Eubanks. After his military service, they moved to Rockville, Maryland where he began his long electrical contracting career. In his free time, they enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake Bay with friends and family. In 1976, he relocated to Murrells Inlet where he was employed as an electrical inspector for the city of Myrtle Beach. He pursued his interests in farming, raising animals, and scuba diving. In later years, Mr. Eubanks also played golf and hunted.


He is survived by his wife, Patsy, and two children, Paula and Paul Dean, and his five grandchildren Louis Allen, Cole, Cheyenne, Stella, and Dupree as well as his older brother Guy, younger brother Dan, and younger sister Kathy Harrison. Mr. Eubanks had a wide circle of friends and was a familiar face in the neighborhood of Rice Fields, where he lived and walked his dog daily. He was a man of faith, an avid reader his whole life, and loved being outdoors. He will be dearly missed. A celebration of life will be held on November 23rd.
