Ralph E Bogan

Ralph Eddins Bogan, Sr., of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 with his faithful wife, Johnnie Kate was by his side after 64 years of marriage.  

Born January 13, 1937 in Memphis, TN, he was the son of the late Frank B. and Sarah Sing Bogan.  Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he was stationed in Myrtle Beach.  Ralph and Johnnie had four children, Karen Byars (Ricky), Karla McGuire (Patrick), Angela McGinnis (Joseph) and Ralph Bogan, Jr. (Amy).  After owing their own businesses, namely Bogan's Boots and Saddles in West Memphis, AR and The Bending B Western Store in Memphis, TN, Ralph and Johnnie Kate retired to Myrtle Beach where they spent their early days as a married couple.  Ralph aka Papaw, deeply loved and adored his children and family, known as a prolific story-teller and a legendary biscuit maker.  Ralph is survived by his sisters, Betty Emmons, Nancy Thomson (Tommy), and preceded in the death by his brother, Frank Bogan.  Grandfather to Nine and Great Grandfather to seventeen, he will be greatly missed by all.

Memorial services will be 11:00, Monday, May 10, 2021 at Cremation Services Direct, Myrtle Beach, SC
